Benjamin De Matteïs und Mickael Le Guen invite you in their miniature circus theater.
A few needy assembled furniture and a bottle of wine – the strange duo hardly needs more to make breakneck endeavor of the preparation of mulled wine. “Marée Basse” is a miniature circus theater á la Buster Keaton, in which the audience becomes an observer of the involuntarily funny everyday life of two artists who have long since passed their fame and their best days. There is a rough handling, but behind the rugged façade there are two adorable fellows, which prove themselves as a well oiled team. Benjamin Da Matteïs and Mickael Le Guen shed a new light on everyday objects and understand how to raise the smallest gestures to “artful” rituals with the necessary imagination, object manipulation and subtle humor.
